If the insured postal item or any part of it is lost or damaged while being transported by post, the amount of compensation to be received according to the law will not be paid in the following cases:-

(a) if the address written by the sender is incomplete or inaccurate resulting in wrong delivery, or
(b) if it is proved that the sender or the addressee has committed any kind of fraud, or
(c) if the addressee has taken delivery of the insured goods duly including the return receipt, or
(d) if the insured item is lost or damaged within 2 months from the date of postal filing or no complaint is made for loss, or
(e) loss or damage caused by improper or insecure packing, or
(f) if there is no visible damage to the envelope or lacquer seal, or
(g) if the insured item contains currency notes or other items of fair value or both and the actual value of such items is not insured, or
(h) In case of loss due to the nature of the thing insured, or
(i) In case of insured items prohibited by post.
